The purpose of going out into the field is so I can learn the terminology and industry, but I get to indulge in some pretty picturesque views. Each day, I get to see sights the average Oregonian doesn’t get to see and enjoy. From the rooftops, the world appears more at ease and peaceful. It would be selfish of me not to share my views with the rest of the community.
I’ve decided to share my favorites. Each week, I’ll provide my three favorite photos I took during the week. This week’s photos features an interesting roof to window setup, a great shot of a Roof Life of Oregon vs. other contractor roof, and a dead roof:
This homeowner is trying to prevent the water coming off of his roof from creating a water ridden window. Instead of installing this piece of metal above the window they need to have a kick-out flashing installed on their gutter. That will cure their problem and save them from this embarrassing looking setup.
This is a great shot of a Roof Life of Oregon roof, on the left, and another contractors roof, who used Copper Naptheneate, on the right.
We had to make a special stop to take a photo of this roof. It looked so bad we had to show it off!
