We want to set all of our clients up for success, so here are 5 things to expect after Roof Life of Oregon installs your new roof.
- Nails Sticking Through Plywood
Yes, nails are going to stick through your plywood at the end of a roof installation. It’s a necessary evil. The manual of the installation guide for any shingle manufacturer out there says the nail has to go completely through the plywood and stick out. It’s not pretty, but it’s got to happen.
- Touch-up Painting
You will want to have a painter come out after installation and touch up areas of the roof and siding. We have to sometimes take siding off to install flashing correctly. So there will be a small amount of painting that needs to occur.
- Tracks in the Yard
We roof year around, which means we roof in the rainy seasons. That means your grass and dirt are saturated. We do have to walk around, but will do everything we can to minimize any damage. Don’t worry- your grass will recover and grow back beautifully next spring.
- Slower Speed in Storms
On that same subject, our guys aren’t able to work if it’s windy and rainy at the same time. It’s just not safe. So inclement weather will slow the process.
- Extra Care
We go the extra mile to avoid any damage to your home. We don’t want you to have to re-landscape when we leave, so we take every possible precaution to protect your home and its surroundings.
Before you re-roof with us, we are here to answer any questions you might have about the process and what to expect when we’re done.
