This past weekend, Roof Life of Oregon sponsored, and had two employees (Peter & Maggie Morin), participate in this year’s Portland to Coast Race. Portland to Coast is the largest walk relay in the world. The course takes participants from downtown Portland, through several rural communities, ending on the beach in Seaside, Oregon. Each team is comprised of twelve participants, six per van, and each walk two legs of approximately five miles. The vans take turns, passing off to the next van once all six participants have walked a leg, in perfect relay style to collectively complete the 127 mile course.
Team #2209 Cheeper by the Dozen participants included Maggie, Laurie, Kellie, Vanessa, Peter, Shirlene, Mari, Andrea, Nikki, Keeley, Talia, and Rebecca.
Cheeper by the Donzen started their first leg in Portland at 3:15 am on Friday anchored by none other than Maggie Morin. Despite a couple of glitches or rookie’s mistakes the team completed the race in Seaside approximately 3 hours ahead of their projected time at 12pm on Saturday.

Congratulations to Team #2209, Cheeper by the Dozen, on completing the race with such positive attitudes and competitive spirit.
